Time Out says

For those of us not directly hit by 2017's devastating natural disasters, it can be easy to forget that Puerto Rico and Mexico are still in dire need of aid in the wake of Hurricane Maria and a lethal earthquake. But on Monday, you can eat and drink for this great cause: During the L.A. Stands with MX+PR event, all proceeds benefit UNIDOS, an organization helping both areas. Thanks to organizers Aaron Polsky of Harvard & Stone and Christine Wiseman of Broken Shaker, some of the city's top food and beverage talent will be stirring and shaking up cocktails (see: Chris Amirault of Otium, Cari Hah of Big Bar, Tobin Shea of Redbird and more) and serving up food from the Exchange, Crying Tiger, Otium and Prime Pizza. Round it all out with a comedy set from Josh Mattingly, a DJ set from Aaron Castle, and an auction which, you guessed it, also benefits UNIDOS. Feed your body and your conscience.

VIP entry gets you in an hour early, for your sip-and-snack convenience.
