Time Out says

One of Chinatown's best bars is closing out the neighborhood's big summer block party with a bang: a colorful tiki-night takeover with plenty of cocktails to go around.

Chinatown Summer Nights comes to a close on August 10, and sure, General Lee's will still be serving its regular menu in Chinatown's Central Plaza—but to celebrate the end of the summer-long event, part of the team is also hopping down the block for a one-night pop-up in the former Pok Pok space in Mandarin Plaza. That's where they're flipping the restaurant's massive dining room into General Lee's Bamboo Room, a no-cover tiki soirée in partnership with Ming River spirits company that runs from 5pm to 2am and comes complete with swing music and other live entertainment.

There'll be $6 Sapporos all night long to cool you, plus a handful of special $14 tiki-inspired drinks like the Man Jen Low punch made with baijiu Aperol, passion fruit, lemon, orange juice and an absinthe spritz; and the Summer Nights, made with baijiu, rum, coconut, lychee, lemon, cinnamon and five spice. There's even a cocktail for two, the $21 Aloha Means Hello and Goodbye, a blend of bourbon, baijiu, orgeat, lemon, orange, absinthe and almond cookie—which, let's be real, sounds good to enough to tackle with just one person.
