Named for its long, oval-shaped bar that stands in the center of the room, this legendary Westside bar has served everyone from Jim Morrison to Truman Capote since its 1949 opening. Strong drinks and a crowded dance floor have kept nostalgic locals as well as newly-legal drinkers coming back over the years.
