Across the street from Culver City’s Platform mall, this low-key poolside spot with high-quality Mexican fare and highly sippable cocktails above Etta and the Shay Hotel is one of the quieter rooftop bars in town. In our eyes, this is a good thing. Unlike some of the spots on this list, you won’t find a try-hard crowd, watered down cocktails or ridiculous traffic jams in the elevator to and from the bar itself. The sunsets here are still killer, but what’s even better are the elote-style sweet corn ribs, fried chicken wings and kampachi crudo plate. Celestina might be Culver City’s only poolside rooftop bar, but it’s one L.A. watering hole with views more than worth going out of your way for.
