Tied to its excellent William Kentridge exhibition, the Broad is hosting an evening centered on the impact of colonialism on BIPOC literature, langauge and music. Tongva activists Lazaro Arvizu, Jr. and Virginia Carmelo will perform a piece about language in the native tongue of indigenous Angelenos, while BLM cofounder Patrisse Cullors will debut a new commission about the impact of right-wing misinformation campaigns on Black people.
