Motoi Yamamoto is best known for his temporary, intricate, large-scale installations made completely out of salt. It's the type of breathtaking, awe-inspiring artwork you need to experience for yourself to fully comprehend, and luckily for you, Yamamoto's new "Floating Garden" floor installation is on view at The Laband Art Gallery at LMU, along with salt drawings and photographs. An important aspect of the installation is its eventual dismantling, at which point Yamamoto will deliver the salt back to the water—hence the exhibition's title.
