Pottery studio California Faience established itself in Berkeley in 1913, and though they ceased operation in 1959, their legacy of tilework continues to shape the California architectural landscape. Grounded in the ideals of the Arts and Crafts movement, all of their works were done by hand. This exhibition, the first dedicated to the studio's legacy, showcases the company’s decorative tiles, vessels and sculptures, including tiles commissioned for Hearst Castle.
