Time Out says

When museums were just starting to open their doors again in 2021, LUMINEX decided to meet the moment and quite literally take art outside: The one-night-only event turned buildings along five blocks of Downtown L.A. into a canvas for colorful projections.

Now, after a 2022 reprise, it’s back for round three: On Saturday, October 5, DTLA will once again come alive after dark thanks to site-specific installations from 10 artists—all viewable for free.

From 7 to 11:30pm, you’ll find building-sized pieces within a five-block area of South Park (W Pico Blvd, S Hope St, W Olympic Blvd, S Olive St). This year’s artists include JOJO ABOT, Refik Anadol, Alice Bucknell, Nao Bustamante, Petra Cortright, Marc Horowitz, Carole Kim, Sarah Rara, Alan Nakagawa and LAVA (Los Angeles Video Artists). Expect it to take about an hour to experience them all.

This year, if you don’t feel like walking the entire route, you’ll be able to book pedicab rides around the area.
