Time Out says

LACMA’s retrospective of Julie Mehretu and her striking, large-scale abstracted works doesn’t open until November 3, but you can preview the exhibition early—and for free—on October 30. The Miracle Mile museum is celebration with music from DJ Rashida, a cash bar and, in addition to the Mehretu survey, access to most of its other galleries, like Betye Saar: “Call and Response,” “Every Living Thing: Animals in Japanese Art,” “Mary Corse: A Survey in Light,” “The Allure of Matter: Material Art from China” and Thomas Joshua Cooper: ‘The World’s Edge.’
