On May 21 1914, the suffragettes held a major demonstration which was to be their last before the outbreak of World War I, and saw Emmeline Pankhurst get her eighth prison sentence. This walking tour tells the full story of the protest on its centenary and ends at the spot outside Buckingham Palace where police inspectors forcibly removed Pankhurst from the proceedings. Book in advance and meet at Westminster tube station.
