A new series of spring and summer walks though the nineteenth-century Abney Park Cemetery, where 190,000 dead are buried, the remains of what was once an A to Z arboretum and Abney Park Chapel. The park was formerly one of the ‘magnificent seven’ garden cemeteries of London and is now a woodland memorial park and local nature reserve managed by the Abney Park Trust. The meeting point is at the Egyptian entrance gates on Stoke Newington High Street, and no booking is required. For more information see www.abney-park.org.uk.
