Doctor Who: Monsters and Villains

Like a weeping angel, the fiftieth anniversary hype is edging ever closer to critical mass. This latest offering in a tranche of Whovian programming is a pretty simple idea, but should be a lot of fun too. Voted for by viewers, this will count down a top ten of the Doctor’s most popular antagonists.

Surely the number one slot is sewn up, but the lower reaches of the chart should be intriguing. Cybermen? Zygons? Sea Devils? Who knows? ‘Doctor Who’ is well on its way to being the most obsessively pored-over TV programme of all time; expect plenty more of this kind of thing in the next few weeks – basically, resistance is futile.
