WHAT'S THE PRIZE?

The prize includes the following:

  • Two first class return LNER train tickets from London King's Cross to Leeds;
  • Two-night hotel stay at The Dakota Hotel in Leeds;
  • A food tour of Leeds best independent pubs, restaurants and street food stalls with Leeds Food Tours for two people;
  • Two theatre tickets at the Leeds Playhouse;
  • £100 voucher for lunch for two people at the Fourth Floor Brasserie, Harvey Nichols, Leeds;
  • Dinner for two people at the Vice & Virtue, including a wine pairing and a tasting menu;
  • A personal styling experience at John Lewis in Leeds with a £100 voucher to put towards your new wardrobe choices; and
  • A fragrance profiling session with Penhaligons, where you’ll be asked a few questions and Penhaligons will formulate a selection of fragrances specifically tailored to you.

This prize is referred to as the Prize Package in these rules.

👉  There are a few additional conditions from the Prize Provider which apply to this Competition and Prize Package:

  1. Prize Package must be redeemed by the winner before 31st May, 2024 and cannot be redeemed between Sunday 19 May 2024 to Thursday 23 May 2024.  To ensure the best experience the winner should book at least one month in advance.
  2. Prize Package cannot be exchanged, transferred, or resold for commercial gain and is subject to availability.
  3. The LNER train tickets exclude peak travel dates: Saturday 16th December 2023 through till Tuesday 2nd January 2024, Saturday 10th February 2024 through to Sunday 18th February 2024 and Thursday 28th March through to Sunday 14th April. The winner may be required to consider alternative dates if the first date is fully booked, or engineering works are taking place.
  4. The Dakota Hotel stay, located at 8 Russell St, Leeds LS1 5RN, is for two people in a double room only.
  5. The food tour will take approximately four hours and starts at 11.45AM. For further information on the food tour: https://leedsfoodtours.com/pages/faqs.
  6. Theatre tickets are subject to Leeds Playhouse terms and conditions: https://leedsplayhouse.org.uk/visit-us/booking-information/.
  7. Vegetarian and vegan options are available for the lunch and dinner experience. The winner must make reservations in advance and ensure they notify the restaurant of any dietary requirements when making their reservation.
  8. The personal styling experience session will last one hour during the week and two hours on a Saturday. Sundays are not available. The £100 voucher can only be used during the personal styling experience.
  9. The fragrance profiling session with Penhaligons requires booking in advance. 

WHEN CAN I ENTER THE COMPETITION?

WHO CAN ENTER?

The Competition is open to all UK residents over the age of 18, except employees of Time Out and the Prize Provider, its agents, contractors and their family members.  The winner must be aged 18 or over - you will not be eligible for the Prize Package if you are under 18. You can only enter once - multiple entries will not be accepted.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

After you submit your entry, you will be entered into a computer-generated ballot, from which a winner will be selected at random. The winner will be notified by Time Out by email within 5 days of the End Date.

OTHER RULES

  1. Time Out reserves the right to exclude any entry from the Competition at any time if it has a reason to believe that the entrant has breached any of the rules.
  2. All entries must be submitted by the original writer of the entry.
  3. All entries considered inappropriate or offensive by Time Out will be disqualified.
  4. The winner will be notified by Time Out using the contact information submitted in the winner’s entry. The winner may be asked to provide identification. Any winner who is not contactable or who fails to return contact within 72 hours of notification will be disqualified, in which case the winner forfeits their right to the prize, no compensation will be given and a reserve entrant will be selected at random as an alternative winner.
  5. The Prize Package will be provided by the Prize Provider and is subject to their terms and conditions indicated at the top of these rules.
  6. The Prize Package is non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable.
  7. In the event of unforeseen circumstances Time Out and the Prize Provider reserve the right to substitute the Prize Package for an alternative of equal or greater value.
  8. Time Out accepts no responsibility if the Prize Provider refuses to issue the prize.
  9. The names of the winner may be obtained by sending a written request with a stamped addressed envelope stating which competition you would like the winner’s details for, to Time Out England Limited, 1st Floor, 172 Drury Lane, London WC2B 5QR or by email to competitions@timeout.com. The request must be submitted within 1 calendar month after the End Date.
  10. By entering the Competition, all entrants consent to the processing of their personal data by Time Out for the purposes of administration of this Competition.
  11. Any winners’ details shared by Time Out or the Prize Provider will be limited to surname and country only, in accordance with ASA guidelines on the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation.
  12. Copyright in all entries submitted for this Competition remains with the respective entrants. However, entrants agree that by submitting an entry to the Competition, they grant Time Out a royalty free, perpetual irrevocable worldwide licence to use and republish their entry. This includes sharing the entry through social media and publication by Time Out worldwide in any of their publications, their websites and/or in any promotional material.
  13. Time Out accepts no liability for any loss or damage however caused, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss or damage or personal injury (with the exception of death or personal injury caused by Time Out’s own negligence) suffered or sustained in connection with the Prize Package.
  14. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of Time Out and/or the Prize Provider and which prevents Time Out and/or the Prize Provider from complying with these rules, neither Time Out or the Prize Provider will be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing their obligations. Time Out reserves the right to modify, delay, postpone or cancel the Competition in the event of circumstances outside of its reasonable control.
  15. This Competition and these rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
  16. The Competition promoter is Time Out England Limited 1st Floor, 172 Drury Lane, London WC2B 5QR and all references to Time Out means Time Out England Limited. Time Out has the right to license any rights granted to Time Out to its associated companies and licensees.
