Yinka Shonibare Weekend

Two days of events celebrating the artist's 'Nelson's Ship in a Bottle' which currently resides on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square. Events include a live-action origami recreation of the Battle of Trafalgar (12noon & 2.30pm Feb 26, 27), the chance for kids to learn about Nelson's uniform and battles (12noon & 2pm Feb 26, 27) a discussion on the themes of the artwork with Shonibare himself (2pm Feb 26) and a debate on the history and culture of London textiles, focusing on issues raised by the artist's work (2pm Feb 27).
