A wreath-laying ceremony to commemorate the bicentenary of the birth of Charles Dickens. Actor Ralph Fiennes and biographer Claire Tomalin are among the readers who will gather in Poets' Corner, where Dickens was buried in 1870. The event also sees the largest gathering of descendents of the novelist, with over 200 family members attending. There isn't general admission to the event but the Charles Dickens Museum is giving away 100 free tickets. Applications for tickets should be made to Matthew Arnoldi at Westminster Abbey – Matthew.arnoldi@westminster-abbey.org
