World Rescue Challenge 2012

This 'Firefighter Olympics' sees teams of firefighters from across the country compete in a range of challenges, rescuing people from crashed cars, performing first aid and carrying out a rescue by speedboat on the London docks. The event is suitable for families and features a life-sized house where children can learn about fire safety. Other events include penalty shoot-outs with West Ham United and entertainment from a band of rapping firefighters. You can book free tickets in advance on the website.
