World Book Night is an all-dayer at the Brunel Museum. Up for grabs until supplies run out are free copies of EH Gombrich’s 'A Little History of the World'. The museum is also launching its 'Bookcrossing' bookshelf – bring along a book and swap it for another title. When books are registered on the bookcrossing.com site, their journey can be traced and the opinions of their readers can be followed. The idea is to 'read, register and release' – and not let your books gather dust on your shelf at home. The museum will remain open until 9pm. You can also visit by joining the London Walks tour that winds up at the museum for a guided descent into the Thames Tunnel Grand Entrance Hall (meet at Bermondsey station at 6.15pm; £9, £7 concs).
