Words in the Park

Big name speakers attending this three-day literary festival include PD James, Penelope Lively, AS Byatt, Tony Benn, Alain de Botton and Jeremy Paxman. Critic AA Gill will be telling comedian Jimmy Carr about his travels around the world, while Sophie Dahl and Mary McCartney will be talking food. Journalists Nick Cohen, Lindsey Hilsum and John Kampfner will be among those taking part in the festival's keynote debate on technology, free speech and the changing face of the modern world.
