The Royal Society celebrates International Women's Day with this talk on early female scientists who used writing to further their careers. A panel of historians will look at the ways they were limited by their gender and how subject specialisms and limited access to education affected their work. A viewing of the video short 'Where are the Women?' and the unveiling of the society's newly acquired bust of Dr Lucie Green will also take place. Seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
