More artists than ever before are taking part in the free Wandsworth Artists Open House, with the work of 168 artists on show at more than 100 different venues around the borough. Spanning all manner of creative forms and crafts, this is a great chance to browse and buy unique gifts from local makers. If 168 artists sounds too much, you could always just do one of the five 'trails' that make up the event – the Battersea and Balham Artists Trail fir example has a much more manageable 13 venues and 28 artists – among them potters, painters, sculptors and jewellery designers such as the small artists' collective EditionUniques.
