Greenwich peninsula’s raucous Urban Village Fete returns this summer, offering a stellar lineup of events and activities. Look out for headline DJ slots from the likes of Gilles Peterson and Jamz Supernova as well as The Charity Shop DJ collective who’ll be putting on their democratic dance party where the audience choose the tunes. There’ll also be cultural talks with BBC Radio London’s Robert Elms, an unmissable carnival workshop and procession with Kinetika Bloco, an Independent Traders Market with baked goods and handmade crafts, and a smörgasbord of streetfood. If all that isn’t enough, there’ll also be workshops from The Bureau of Silly Ideas and Caroline Byrne’s Brazen Botany, where you can create paper plants and flowers.
