Time Out says

In this public lecture, Prof. Peter McOwan of Queen Mary College takes on the thorny question of whether we can build robots that are intelligent. Reflecting on his work for the EU on synthetic companions, the professor will attempt to define what we mean by intelligence, and look at the effect intelligent robots might have on a future society. His talk is aimed at sixth-formers, but everybody is welcome.
