Time Out says

If you don’t recognise the name of this celebrated Finnish artist, you’ll definitely be familiar with her portly, snow white Moomin creatures, who first appeared in a comic strip by Tove Jansson in the 1940s. But if you thought that was all to the late artist and illustrator, this new show will prove you wrong.

This major retrospective brings together 150 works tracing key stages of Jansson's vast career, including her surrealist-inspired '30s paintings, abstract work of the ‘60s, satirical anti-war cartoons and book jacket designs. While those mad for Moomins can see early sketches of the characters and original comic strips. Turns out there’s more to Moomins than meets the eye. Find out more here
