London’s highest viewing platform, at the top of the tallest building in Western Europe, has only been open since 2013 but already it’s one of the capital’s best-loved and most iconic landmarks on the skyline.
From morning yoga sessions to nightlife events, it offers 360° panoramic views of London and beyond which are ever changing – with the light, with the weather, with the seasons and as the city itself goes about its daily life. Open year round, a visit to The View from the Shard starts the moment you step into the kaleidoscopic lift and travel at high speed up to the triple-height viewing platform on level 69. From here you can explore The View, set out on three spacious levels, with floor-to-ceiling windows on every side of the building, allowing you to see sights up to 40 miles away.
Walk all the way round Level 69, then head up to the Skydeck on the 72nd-floor – an open-air platform.
