The Treasures of Henry Wellcome

A display of photographs by Thom Atkinson of some of the treasures amassed by Sir Henry Wellcome. Atkinson's images juxtapose objects from the collection in unlikely combinations – a nineteenth-century x-ray tube next to a cat o' nine tails, a dried 'merman' chimera next to a medicine chest taken to Mount Everest. Please note: the photographs are on display in the windows of the Wellcome Trust, 215 Euston Rd, NW1 2BE and are viewable 24 hours daily.
