The Queen's Jubillegal

A day ahead of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee River Pageant on the Thames, this alternative flotilla on Regent's Canal offers a raucous salute to the Queen. Rafts, canoes, kayaks, pedalos, even bathtubs are expected to take part, headed by the 'Jubillegal' barge, which will be topped off with a giant papier-mâché sculpture of Her Majesty's head, designed by Hugo Fergusson. Accompanied by a sound system, vessels will paddle a route between Union Wharf and Broadway Market.
