Award-winning author and writer Bill Bryson was terrible at science in school. Yet he has been given the President's Award by the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Bradford Washburn Award by the Museum of Science in Boston and has been made an honorary Fellow of the Kavli Institute of Particle Physics, the British Science Association and the Royal Society. He will be in conversation with Professor Jim Al-Khalili about his personal experiences and perspectives on science, from childhood through to writing 'A Short History of Nearly Everything'. Places are free and allocated on a first come first served basis.
