Relive the drama and the stunning visual style of ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ in a new feature as part of Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.

For a limited time only (March 30 to September 23), the Studio Tour is enhanced with key props and costumes from the fourth Harry Potter film. Just as young wizards from home and abroad gathered for the Triwizard Tournament in J.K. Rowling’s unforgettable story, there’s plenty of action and intrigue to be had in the Studio Tour, too, where visitors can get a behind-the-scenes look at dazzling special effects from the film. Take a look at the video below for a sneak preview.

Here are just a few of many highlights from the tour.

The Goblet decides

The Goblet of Fire is back in the Great Hall at Hogwarts – the setting for Harry’s controversial selection to take part in the Triwizard Tournament alongside Fleur Delacour, Viktor Krum and Cedric Diggory. Wise and ancient, the Goblet cannot be argued with, and it is decided that Harry must compete, despite being underage and facing the prospect of great danger.

On the tour, surrounded by the grandeur of the Great Hall, visitors can get close to not one but two goblets. One is hand-carved from gnarled wood, designed to appear like a treasured old relic. The second was moulded from the first and made into a special effects version, rigged to propel the parchments that name the four Triwizard Champions. See how it was done and receive your own souvenir parchment to take home!

The Prefects’ Bathroom

Shunned by his friends for being chosen for the Triwizard Tournament before he is old enough, Harry has to rely more than ever on his own wits as he faces death-defying challenges. Cedric Diggory becomes an ally and directs Harry to the Prefects’ Bathroom to search for answers, as he prepares for the next trial. On the tour, visitors can see the stunning tower of bronze taps, complete with multicoloured water running from each of the 53 spouts.

Other Goblet of Fire highlights

As part of the main tour, the Goblet of Fire feature offers additional highlights during its run. Discover how Voldemort’s costume was developed to reflect his character and find out about the demands of the part, played by Ralph Fiennes. Feel the power of the graveyard scene in which the Dark Lord is ‘reborn’, as you take a 360° walk around the sculpture of Tom Riddle’s grave.

You can also see the boot portkey that transports Harry, Hermione and the Weasleys to the 422nd Quidditch World Cup. And when you get to the beautiful scale model of Hogwarts (used for exterior shots during filming), look out for the Beauxbatons’ carriage and winged horses, carefully poised for landing.

Of course, we’d all love to have been invited to the Yule Ball by hunky Viktor, glamorous Fleur or perhaps even Ron in his dodgy robe – but as we couldn’t be there at the heart of the Triwizard action, this feature should go a long way towards making up for missing out.
