Experience the culture, lifestyles, music, drinks and smells of ten decades in ten hours. The Century will take place on two consecutive Saturdays in November and aims to re-animate some of the most exciting ideas and scenes of each era from the last 100 years. Guests can experience 1940s film noir through cocktails with The Times drinks writer Alice Lascelles, learn about the rhythm of 1913's production with composer Mark Bowden and get swept up in the excitement of Y2K and Millennium Eve all over again with technological expert Dr Tom Chatfield and DJ Steve Vertigo. At the top of each hour scent expert and author Lizzie Ostrom (AKA Odette Toilette) will kick off proceedings with an immersive sniff at the scent of each decade from 1960s hippie stink to the OTT drama of a 1980s perfume launch party. Tickets are available for each decade individually (£18), in double bills (£25) or for a whole five hours of nostalgia at a time (£60).
