Time Out says

Chef Ellen Parr and set designer Alice Hodge are the creative masterminds behind the ever-inventive Art of Dining. Previous themed pop-ups have included Gone Camping, where guests sat at picnic benches and were served rather special instant noodles and toasted marshmallows, and Rations, which saw diners enjoy novel dishes based on spam, sugar lumps, pigeon, tea and toast in an officers mess at the Horsebox Gallery.

This time the duo are preparing a seventies spectacular based on Mike Leigh's play 'Abigail's Party'. The Rose Lipman Building will be transformed into an interpretation of the play’s set complete with lava lamps, shag-pile rugs, loud wallpaper and every shade of beige imaginable. Food-wise, twiglets, prawn cocktails, magic mousse and fondue are on the menu but, as usual, nothing is straightforward: expect bold and zesty twists on these retro classics. Follow the theme and dress to impress. Men: think flares and chest hair; ladies: go for plunging necklines and plenty of eyeliner. Places can be booked online in advance.
