Thames Festival 2012: Barge-Driving Races

Barge-driving races enact the way that watermen manoeuvred their barges on the Thames in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. There are two races: Newcomers and Apprentices (Waterloo to Tower Bridge, 1-2pm); Steve Faldo Memorial Race (Tower Bridge to Westminster Bridge, 3-4pm).
