The pop-up velodrome is back for 2015, taking up a two-day residence at Exchange Square, Broadgate. On Wednesday it'll be open to the public from 10am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm (with registration from 9.30am), allowing all-comers to test their personal speeds. These public sessions will be sandwiched by Guest Team sessions and competitions where amateur mixed teams from six companies will battle it out to be crowned champions (1pm-3pm and 6pm-7.30pm). On Thursday there'll be a chance to qualify to compete against professional cyclists at the amateur rider qualification sessions (10am-2pm) followed by a pro team practice session (5pm-6pm). Then from 6pm the televised finals for series titles will start, involving pro riders, amateur cyclists who made it through the regional heats, and two 'wildcards'. These 'wildcards' will be the fastest male and fastest female riders selected from members of the public who have completed a two-lap trial in the StreetVelodrome between 10am and 1pm that day.
