Strawberry and Honey Fayre

An afternoon of strawberry- and bee-themed activities and entertainment, including live music, a dress up as a beekeeper session, beeswax candle workshop and local honey tastings. A key feature of the fayre will be a collection of talking plants created by Queen Mary student Sara Heitlinger, who's used Oyster card technology – wireless radio-frequency technology known as RFID – to create plants whose unique computer chip is picked up by a reader hidden inside a watering can, enabling an audio sample about the plant's medicinal properties to be played.
