Southbank Centre Refugee Week

Refugee Week, the annual festival celebrating the many contributions that refugees have made to the UK, is back. Southbank Centre are marking the week with new commissions from poets incuding Vanessa Kisuule, Rachel Long, Momtaza Mehri, short film screenings from Arab Film Club, conversations and talks with Radical Ecology and various music and dance workshops including mass singing performances and West African dance classes. The week will culminate with ‘Notes on Compassion’ – a night of music and spoken word hosted by comedian Fatiha El-Ghorri.
