Get the best view possible of our first near total solar eclipse since 1999 at the Royal Observatory as they open early for the big, dark event. The moon will begin to pass between us and the sun at 8.24am, with maximum obscuration at 9.31am, and the observatory's team will provide safe observing through telescopes and solar viewers all morning. Members of Flamsteed Astronomy Society will be supervising and answering questions.
