Kei Ito has created a lighting installation on either side of the main path leading up to the museum. Made from woven fibre optics, the lights take the form of bigger than lifesize chairs and lamps to reference the Geffrye's domestic themes. The commission is part of Museumaker, a project that allowed cultural and historic venues to commission new artwork from contemporary makers, and will remain on-site until autumn 2012. To view a short film about the making of the work visit http://vimeo.com/25410473 .
