There's a whole lot more to Sicily than the Mafia, and this exhibition aims to give a potted history of the island through its display of jewellery, coinage, documents, statues and a fair few pots. As it turns out, Italy's sunny little southern addendum has had a most interesting life involving gorgons, Greeks, Normans, Byzantines and a religiously tolerant 11th-century king called Roger. Unfortunately this collection is not the most interesting way to learn about it. Despite some beautiful and impressive artefacts, the island's story falls a bit flat. The entry fee's £10, which is only a bit less than a flight to Catania in the Ryanair sale. You can probably tell which we'd recommend.
