Time Out says

For this series of events, the Museum have invited PhD students carrying out research at UCL to pick just one object from the 68,000 strong collection and then present everything they know about it during an informal lunchtime talk. Simon Maddock is the latest candidate to have a rummage through the archive, and his object will probably have some connection to his cutting edge work which uses DNA sequencing and CT scanning to explore the evolutionary relationship between reptiles and amphibians on the tropical island of the Seychelles. The talk begins at 1.15pm and lasts for 30 minutes. For the last 15 minutes, guests will be able to have a closer look at the chosen object.
