Secret of Comedy – Introduction to Comedy Writing Course

A six-week comedy writing course taught by Diane Messias, who directed the radio version of 'One Foot in the Grave' and wrote 'The News Quiz'. Over three Saturdays in September and three more in October, Messias will take students through tips on how to turn your sitcom into a script, how to sharpen up a screenplay, how to cope with (and come back from) rejection and creating three-dimensional characters, and covers all kinds of comedy – sketch, radio, television, stage and film. In the final class, professional actors will perform your work.
