Some parts of central London clear out on the weekends when all the office workers head home – we think that’s the perfect time to visit. Enter St James’s Market: a secret spot surrounded by Piccadilly Circus and Regent Street St James’s. Those who know it, love it, because it’s bordered by magnificent British buildings and home to some truly unique restaurants and shops.
This autumn, the market is hosting a couple of food markets. Wine Car Boot, a pop-up wine market that makes its way through London, is on board, so there’ll be wine tastings and delicious food aplenty on Saturday September 29 from 12pm until 8pm.
On entry (which is free by the way, yay), you can grab yourself a £12 tasting pack, which includes a glass and some wine tokens, then you can make your way through the stalls of wine-sellers and producers. It’s not just limited to drinks – there will be independent food stalls there as well, selling their wares so you can soak up all that grape juice with something hearty.
As always, keep an eye on St James’s website and social media for juicy market details nearer to the dates. The team will be posting updates on all the events happening there throughout the summer, so you won’t miss a thing if you hit that ‘follow’ button (@StJamesLondon) and stay tuned.
Wine Car Boot will be at St James’s Market (SW1Y 4AH) on Saturday September 29 from 12pm until 8pm. Check out stjameslondon.co.uk for the full schedule.
