Science Museum Late: The Science of Sport

An evening of science and socialising for curious grown-ups. Alongside the usual events, such as speed dating (£10), there'll be one-off happenings relating to this month's theme of the science of sport, including an Olympic-themed talk by writer-in-residence Mick Jackson, a discussion about Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake by Prof John D Barrow from Gresham College and Cambridge University, a display of the latest video capture technology revealing the mechanics of gymnastic movement, and a 'Meet the Experts' session with sports engineers from Wolverhampton University, who are designing the ultimate running shoe.
