If you just happen to have a Dalek costume stashed at the back the wardrobe for ‘special’ occasions, this event is exactly what you’ve been waiting for. Part of the twelfth annual Sci-Fi Festival, the dress-up parade (which starts and ends at Stratford East Picturehouse) takes a loose ‘Doctor Who’ theme this year, although participants are welcome to don any sci-fi costume, from stormtrooper to steampunk. The parade is free and spectators and participants can pitch up unannounced. However, those who register their attendance online will receive one of a limited number of after-party wristbands giving access to a shindig with music, refreshments, games and a surprise guest. Who? See www.sci-fi-london.com for more information.
