Book launches, public appearances and Q&A sessions are crucial for authors, providing publicity for their work, as well as additional income. The cancellation of bood events across the board has been a real blow for writers, and the readers who want to hear from them. To try and adapt, Salon London is launching a new live-streamed book club featuring authors like Emma June Unsworth, with dates spaced out to allow the would-be audience to actually read the book.
For each date, writer Helen Bagnall will host a live interview with the authors for 20 minutes, then it will open up to a Q&A where everyone tuning in can submit questions. Tickets are £5 to get involved, or free if you buy the book through the Salon London site.
See the schedule for Book Club Live below:
April 19 - Emma Jane Unsworth with ‘Adults’.
April 26 - Hallie Rubenhold with ‘The Five’
