Temporary exhibitions such as the annual Housing Design Awards are held in RIBA’s Grade II-listed headquarters behind Oxford Circus. It’s not just for architects, however, the building is open to the public and aims to encourage debate and interest in the discipline through shows and events. RIBA houses a bookshop, a first-floor café and one of the finest architectural libraries in the world. It also arranges an excellent lecture series.
