Your non-stop day of freedom starts right here - so whether you crave a brilliant brekkie or you’re up for an early-hour fitness rave, we’ve got you covered.

Duck & Waffle
Duck & Waffle

This legendary restaurant has it all: epic views of the city, a fabulous experimental breakfast menu - featuring duck & waffle, natch - and a 24-hour policy so early birds can grab a table and get front row seats to a lovely sunrise. Mid-week reservations are much easier to come by than the weekend, but you can book up to two months in advance - or swing by in the evening for a drink at the bar.

Morning Gloryville
Morning Gloryville

Morning Gloryville’s hyperactive dance parties are so early (6.30am), you’ll think they started the night before. They’re aimed at clean-living clubbers who get their kicks from busting moves on the dancefloor. Once you’ve shaken those legs, cool down with a smoothie or yoga and roll out in the satisfaction you’ll buzz for the rest of the day.

Sky Garden Yoga
Sky Garden Yoga

It’s downward dogs at sunrise in the Sky Garden - the stunning, 36th floor location of the bright and early Sky Garden Yoga sessions. The one-hour class focuses on vinyasa flow and starts from 6.30am Tuesday-Friday, 8am on Saturdays and 8.30am on Sundays. Once you’re done, you can feast on a healthy, unlimited buffet brekkie.

  • Hampstead Heath

Treat yourself to a lie-in then meander to the V&A in South Kensington, which opens at an early-but-not-so-early 10am. Beyond the horde of eye-popping collections and exhibitions, the arty museum has a new wing that took six years to come together – but it’s worth the wait. The V&A Exhibition Road Quarter comes with a new entrance to a grand public courtyard and a 1,100 square metre underground gallery space.

Columbia Road Flower Market

Want a mega-dose of flower power? Wake up and smell the roses, daffodils or lilies at one of the prettiest places in East London to grab flowers by the bucketloads. You’ll need to set aside a Sunday to catch the action from 8am, but that’s when you’ll get the finest pick of the bunch.
