Celebrity vet Marc Abraham's one-day event for dog owners and pooch enthusiasts hopes to raise awareness of puppy farming, which is the mass production of puppies for commercial gain and sometimes involves the animals living in terrible conditions. The cause has many celebrity supporters and promises a famous face or two to judge the dog show; 2012's attendees included Brian May, Ricky Gervais and Sarah Harding. Four-legged friends can be entered into categories such as waggiest tail, best rescue, child's best friend and London's coolest dog. Vets, groomers and behaviourists will be on hand to answer questions and provide advice and boutique shopping stalls will be selling doggy treats. The event is free.
