London’s West End has a long and proud queer history, so it makes a fitting place for this audio-visual exhibition of living portraits telling the stories of LGBTQ+ people living and working in the area today. Heard Storytelling, the UK’s leading spoken stories company is behind ‘Proud West End’ which will see 15 large-scale portraits installed down Old Quebec Street, each accompanied by candid spoken stories visitors can listen to by scanning a QR code.
Get to know Ru Paul’s Drag Race finalist Divina de Campo (They/She/He) and their dreams of never giving up on appearing on the West End. And meet Willem (He/Him), the global flagship talent lead at Oxford Street’s Superdry, who opens up about his difficult childhood in America in a Christian family and finding himself in London, plus many more.
Keep an eye out for a whole load of offers and experiences taking place across Oxford Street’s shops, restaurants and brands all supporting the Pride celebrations.
