Outdoor Swimming Society December Dip 2014

Now in its seventh year, the OSS December Dip sees hundreds of keen, outdoor swimmers plunge into Parliament Hill Lido for a spot of chilly dipping. Open Water 'Man of the Year' Adam Walker will be the special guest at this year's event, entertaining participants with tales of his Oceans 7 Challenge and scary encounters with sharks and jellyfish in icy waters, while the North London Brass Band will supply swimmers with a seasonal soundtrack. Dippers of any age or ability are welcome to take part, and swimming options include 'fancy dress dippers', 'bobble hat breaststrokers', 'freezing freestylers' and 'arctic adventurers', all of which vary in distance. A prize cup will be awarded to the best dressed swimmer and warming festive drinks awarded to the estimated 400 participants due to brace the cold.
