In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, the RAF Museum is providing a single, special opportunity to see all of the aircraft in its collection that took part in the battle: not just the Hurricane and Spitfire, but their opponent fighters the Messerschmitt Bf 109E and Bf 110, as well as Heinkel He 111 and Junkers Ju 88 bombers and a Junkers Ju 87 dive-bomber, the unsuccesful Boulton Paul Defiant Mk1 and many more. Each aircraft will have an experienced explainer on hand, and you'll be able to look into many of cockpits and fuselages. Open until 9.15pm, the mezzanine bar will allow you to survey the entire Battle of Britain Hall, drink in hand.
Note: for the preceding weekend's free family-friendly activities during the day, see Battle of Britain Weekend.
