Time Out says

Some of the last surviving Victorian tenement buildings in Iliffe Yard, which now house numerous ceramicists, art workshops, fashion designers, filmmakers, graphic artists, jewellers and more, open up their doors for the Open Garden Squares Weekend. Visitors will have the chance to explore the cobbled yards that were once home to the likes of Charlie Chaplin, Michael Caine and John Ruskin. Plus, fact fans, Iliffe Street was the set of Tom Hooper's 2010 film 'The King's Speech'.

The Many Hoots wildlife sanctuary will also bring some wonderful birds along, there will be craft activities for kids and even urban bees. See our feature and visit the festival website (www.opensquares.org) for details of all participating gardens.
